The Louisiana Lions teamed with the Louisiana Pulmonary Disease Camp in 1988 to provide summer camp memories to yet another group of deserving Louisiana youngsters.

Camp Pelican, as the program is known, is primarily for children with Cystic Fibrosis, severe and chronic asthma, and tracheostomy patients.

Here's how it works..

• The Lions provide their facility, food service, and sponsorship for one week
• LPDCI provides a volunteer program and medical staff consisting of Medical Doctors, Registered Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Medical and Nursing students
• LPDCI recruits and make all camper assignments
