The Kasey Joelle Ragan Memorial Fund has been established to raise awareness of and funding for the youth who attend Louisiana Lions Camp, a place where Kasey spent her last two summers as a counselor. Lions Camp is a unique summer place for mentally and physically challenged and diabetic youth of Louisiana, where campers and counselors alike are touched by a life changing experience. The mission of the Kasey Joelle Ragan Memorial Fund is to keep her love and passion for life alive by supporting a cause that was so close to her heart!

We invite you to become a supporter of the second Annual Kasey Joelle Ragan Memorial Benefit.  "Kasey's Heart & Soul Run, Walk, & Roll" will take place on Saturday, March 9th beginning at Northwestern's Collins Pavilion/Demon Commons. This will be a 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile event and this year will be chip timed! Runners, walkers, wheelchairs rollers and virtual runners are all welcome! T-shirts, food, music and fun will be had by all who register by February 23rd, 2013.

The net proceeds of this event will be used to send local youth to Lions Camp, provide scholarships to graduating campers and to provide for the needs of hosting Lions Camp each year. The Kasey Joelle Ragan Memorial Fundraising committee encourages you to mark your calendars & join us!

The first event was held last year and raised over 40K (Fourty Thousand Dollars)  In addition to scholarships being provided for some of the campers for the previous 2 summers, the Multi Purpose Building has been renovated and named the Kasey J Ragan Multi Purpose Building (KMPB)  This is the central point of operations for the summer camp program and is one of the original buildings, which was opened for use in 1961.  This was the first major renovation of the building.

Click the thumbnails below to see some before and after photos of the work.  The building will be dedicated at the June Board of Directors meeting on Saturday June 29, 2012
