We've completed our annual Lions Work Weekend at Camp and made tremendous progress on the Carnival Renovation which was actually started last year.  Lions from several parts of the state spent the weekend at camp, some actually arrived several days early to start the work.  Very soon we will place a sign at the entrance in memory of Matthew Palm,  that says  "Matthew's Midway"

Lions from Pontchatoula, Baton Rouge Metropolitan, Lake Charles Elite, Maplewood-Hollywood, Jennings, Carencro, Iota-Egan, New Orleans Central City, Roanoke, Leesville, and Anacoco spent the weekend of March 20th, 2009 working at camp preparing for the upcoming summer program.  Our special project this year was completing the carnival renovation in memory of one of our campers.  Special funding for this project came from New Orleans Central City Lions and the Pontchatoula Lions.  Members from both clubs were on site to see this through as well as from several other clubs.

Camp Needs List for 2009-2010

Each year the camp publishes in its Board of Directors reports a list of basic items that the Procurement Committee spends the year seeking donations for.

The list is broken down into general areas and most everything on the list is available at either Wal-Mart or Sams Wholesale Clubs.

The list is designed so that an individual can purchase one item for the Camp and make a difference.

You can click the link below to download the list which is a .pdf file requiring Adobe Acrobat Reader
